The Golden Age of America, a February Interview with Astrologer Ahmad Jones

The Golden Age of America, a February Interview with Astrologer Ahmad Jones

Interviewer: Talk a little about the astronomic timing of President Trump’s inauguration.

Ahmad Jones: Certainly. When Trump’s oath was finished, it was two minutes after twelve, which was close to the time that the nation moved to the place of new beginnings with the constellation of Aries on the horizon of Washington, D.C. Now this isn’t an unusual thing because when the presidential oath is given, the D.C. Ascendant is always in Aries constellation. In the Indian or Vedic approach to astrological measurements the actual stars of the constellation of Aries moved over the District of Columbia’s horizon at that time.

Interviewer: Has it always been this way since presidents took the oath of office?

Ahamd: Negative. George Washington’s inauguration took place on April 30th, at 1:30 pm in New York City. His second inauguration began on March 4th and this date was the official inaugural date until the 20th Amendment and FDR’s second term as President. For the first time since 20 January 1937, the oaths were administered at noon on that day, unless the date fell on a Sunday, or for other dire reasons. So, since that year, the constellation of Aries, at least two-thirds of the sign, ascended over D.C.’s horizon line during that critical moment.

When I said that President Trump took the oath when America moved to a place of new beginnings, it was not to say that this configuration of new beginnings wouldn’t have occurred anyway, for example, if Kamala Harris had taken the oath. No. This astronomic setup happens irrespective of who sits in the West Wing. And as most people may know the constellation of Aries is the place of new starts, and the inauguration of the astrological year in late March.

Interviewer: Okay, while we’re on the subject, for those not too familiar with Aries could you say a few words?”

Jones: Yes. Generally, this sign is associated with anything that leads the way, like the prow of a ship or the headlights of a car…anything that pioneers, takes direct action, pushes aside all obstacles and moves enterprisingly forward. Without looking back.

Interviewer: That’s very dramatic and also a little unsettling as people may find it hard to break, for instance, from the past, and as you said, to not look back, and just press on. The spectre of the unknown may be difficult for Americans, would you say?Astrology, Light and America's Future

Jones: If people perceive life as being without any sign of hope concerning fresh starts and only see an abiding decay. It is possible to feel completely immersed in that thought and to easily overlook the immense value of forging new approaches to life. So, under these conditions it is useful to fortify the apparatus of thought… with a different one. This is the initial thing of which the horoscope points. The oath of office chart, set for 20 January 2025, at 12:02 pm, occurred under the Vedic conditioning sign of Aries, the first constellation, which described the conditions surrounding the central idea that America won’t be anything less then numero uno, number one, being first, as in America first. This is apt symbolism pertaining to the president’s inaugural address afterwards. I’m speaking astrology not politics here because the timing of the currents of space at that moment were symbolically related to that 2,885-word speech.

Interviewer: That reminds me of the President’s mention of the Golden Age of America. I’d never heard an inaugural address with those words in that order before. But last year I did when he gave his victory speech after the 2024 election.

Jones: Do you remember the golden fleece? I’m not talking about the fleecing of America. The Golden Fleece of Aries the Ram

Interviewer: That’s funny and yes, I have. The golden fleece is a symbol of the lamb or in Aries’ case the ram.

Jones: Consider that golden age comment, the fleece, and the Aries Ascendant during the oath… these three have meaning, when speaking of a new golden age for the United States of America and the beginning of this new federal administration.

Interviewer: Do you see in the chart where this is possible?

Jones: Where what.. is possible?

Interviewer: For example, a new beginning.

Jones: Yes, but an unconventional beginning, though many do perceive only chaos. To your question I reference America’s tropical birth chart for the Declaration of Independence, at 5:10 pm on 4 July 1776. America’s progressed Moon recently entered the 4th House of new beginnings, of building something from the bottom up, hence, the reestablishing of the country’s foundations. The progression was perfectly timed with the transference of power to the new president. America’s progressed Moon, standing for the people of the nation, will continue to pass through the 4th House until 13 December 2026. As this is the sector of America’s lands, real estate, homes and families, and also to new achievements, this dovetails with the president’s intention to protect America’s two borders thus American citizens.

Now, in America’s Vedic chart, for the oath of office, Mars rules the Aries Lagna or Ascendant. Would you like to guess the house that Mars is in?

Interviewer: Well, if you put it that way, I would say…the 4th House.

Jones: That’s right.: Mars was also retrograde, which, weakens its malefic status a bit.

Interviewer:  And this current administration is running a Mars Dasa or cycle, right?

Jones: Yes! And this will last through the mid-terms (April to November) 2026 until the end of President Trump’s cycle of office.

Interviewer: That reminds me, in speaking of Mars, of what the President said in the last part of his speech where America’s flag will be planted on Mars. Another meaningful coincidence to Mars is the word Mar in Mar-a-Largo, the president’s home in Florida. The more we discuss this I see lots of connections. But about that 4th House, I checked the ephemeris and noticed Saturn will transit that sector sometime in June of this year.

Jones: Yes, on 1 June. So, we know that Aries is ruled by Mars, planet of action, and many will be astonished to know that Mars has rulership over drills. In the Vedic chart Mars is in the 4th House of the land, so, it is no accident that the president referred to domestic drilling.

Interviewer: You’re referring to his drill baby drill, part of the speech.

Jones: Exactly. To enlarge on this theme of what appears as America’s new stance on self-sufficiency, through its natural gas and oil, the planet Saturn rules excavations, which is not the same as drilling, which comes under Mars, but it is still an integral part of the process of drawing from the country’s natural resources. It, that is Saturn, will transit through the 4th House of the land, until 17 April 2028.

Interviewer: I noticed that you’ve jumped back and forth from the western and eastern astrological approaches but I can see how they reflect each other in different respects.

Jones: That’s good because your audience may use both or one or the other ways to  measure time, that is, by the actual constellations or the equinoxes and solstices. So, germane to the people it is useful to conceive every American as creating a new golden age for themselves and their families and their communities. It is of course a personal equation for each person. So, whether people like or dislike the President’s golden age idea, is it important that it was said, for it to be a viable and practical call to action, for each person.

Interviewer: Hmm.

Jones: It wasn’t meant to be a question just an observation of how people can play with this concept in a constructively optimal way. Yet we must be also vigilant because the world has been at war for a long time. Some wars are apparent and others are concealed. It is the latter that requires a penetrating eye into the inner workings behind the outward march of events. Be prepared. To some the idea of a golden age is just fluff yet to others the concept is a practical one, for most people desire to see the resolution of energies out-of-balance.

Interviewer: There is so much tension in the world. What does the Inauguration chart say about it?

Jones: There’s a polarity between the 4th House of the people and the 10th House of the U.S. government. The people of this country will be just as active as the government, in putting forth unity through effort to accomplish goals. That’s an Aries term, as strange as it may sound. If you examine the symbol of Aries the two horns represent duality. Not everyone is on board with the new age idea but some are. Remember that Aries is the sign of forceful action, movement, forging new enterprises, like lightning. An intense striving for high ideals attracts helpers from unusual places. And this is the essence of how constructive efforts can be a unifying center. Yet this is not just about the Commander-In-Chief or D.C. but includes the whole of the United States. Aries (to arise) energy is associated with the heart and the heart’s fire.

Interviewer: I immediately thought of that sports movie, ugh, Chariots of Fire.

Jones: Yes! Yes! Yes! The heart is an organ of fire, said actor Ralph Fiennes in his movie The English Patient. All these references to fire are appropriate now, because our country can lead by the fire of the heart as a… unifier.

Interviewer: I like the wordplay in uni-fire.

Jones: Well, to be led by heart is to illumine a path of courageous achievement. The human heart is a carrier of this salutary fiery element and a center of integration and synthesis.

Interview: Being a movie buff I also have in mind Braveheart. And Rocky.

Jones: These are avid examples of what the fire of a single heart can accomplish.

Interviewer: One more question before we break. Where is Mars in the Navamsa chart for the Inauguration horoscope?

Jones: In the Navamsa or supporting chart, which is used in addition to the birth chart, it is in the 5th House, which is one of the most auspicious sectors in Indian astrology. As a country we can reconcile disturbing conditions around us by putting our shoulders to the wheel, working lovingly, joyously, practically and efficiently in our communities and (to paraphrase Herman Melville’s character, Ishmael, in his book) …to put away all blubbering, because we are striving to improve our lot for there is plenty of good things to come as we scrape the ice from our frosted feet and see what sort of future we can create.

Interviewer: Your Moby Dick reference is apropos for this very cold day in Montana. Thank you, Ahmad Jones.

Jones: You’re welcome.
