Astrology, PRC World Changes
3 Very significant measurements taken from the moment the People’s Republic of China (PRC) came into being.
1 Originality (Aquarius) breaking away from the past (AQ) through revolutionary means (AQ). This is illustrated by the war between the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) which was the military wing of the bourgeoning Chinese Communists Party (CCP), and the weakening Nationalist Army of the Kuomintang Party (KMT).
a. This originality is marked by the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC’s) Ascendant, which stands for a nation’s self-image, the people and their general psychology.
2 The land (4th House), comes under Taurus. The ruler Venus is placed in Scorpio the sign of transformation and death, not just physical death but that of previous capitalists’ ideas related to land.
a. Land distribution comes under Cancer, the 4th House, the Moon, Uranus and Aquarius. This is an important reference to Mao’s changing rules for land ownership. This matrix was quickly (Uranus) established.
b. Scorpio rules the 10th House of the PRC, with Pluto and Mars as ruler and co-ruler, respectively. It is easy to relate the control of land to the new government, by the affinity of planets, signs and Houses, within the context of many historical sources .
Mao Zedong was the son of a peasant farmer, so the history goes. The natal Moon in the 1st House of the new nation ties in to Mao’s focus on land (Moon) reform (Aquarius).
3 The Moon rules the public and the Sun rules the vital spirit of the new China. The Moon trine Sun brings the the 1st House of the nation together with the 6th House of laborers, and the 7th House of public gatherings with the 8th House of death to the old Republic of China (ROC), which retreated to Taiwan.
a. The Sun in Libra brings Venusian energies, as representing the cultural revolution, into an affinity with Pluto and Scorpio, via its 8th House placement. The death of the old ways is celebrated through a massive parade in Tiananmen Square.
b. An intense field of new energies was imprinted in the ethers of Beijing. The event was seen all over the world.
In the horoscope of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Moon’s significance is paramount. Astrology, PRC and World Changes points out an immanent emergence of influences from the PRC’s beginnings The Moon stands for the people and land and Aquarius stands for groups. When Mao Zedong announced the start of the new Chinese government the Moon was rising at 3:00 pm in Tiananmen Square, in Beijing. References to a large group of people (Moon in Aquarius) celebrating the physical birth of a concept, a concept carrying a strong morphic field, are remarkable. The new Chinese government was the result of a revolution or civil war (Aquarius).
China’s Tropical Horoscope Dynamic (An Overview)
The PRC has Aquarius rising as previously noted. This describes the coming together as one people, in this case, under the banner of a Communist ideology. This occurs through belief and acceptance on the part of the public (Moon). On 1 October of 1949, Communism had triumphed over the nationalists’ forces. It is amazingly portrayed in the chart.
Uranus, the Ascendant ruler and significator of the new government and its people, is in the sign Cancer (the masses). The Moon deposits Uranus, which means that the Moon rules the sign that Uranus occupies. Uranus is almost conjunct the cusp of the 6th House of civil service, laborers and the middle class. At this writing Pluto (extreme power) is on the cusp of the PRC’s 1st House.
An assertion of seemingly unmitigated power is liable to be displayed, now that the CCP’s ruler (Pluto) has moved to conjunct the 1st House (PRC). It is interesting to look at the U.S. Secretary of State travel to China to tell the Chinese government what to do.
Combine Pluto’s influence with the already-mentioned Aquarian Moon in the 1st House. From a physical point of view this transit constitutes an apparent overwhelming force especially from the 10th House (government) ruled by Pluto. (This is Interesting.)
Let’s look at the PRC chart as an event chart for Oct. 1 1949. The prominent Moon’s 6th House rulership reflects the labor camps and land (Moon) reforms (AQ) where many rich village landowners were punished to death, their land holdings taken and given to poor peasants. The idea behind land reform, was the equalization (Libra) of the playing field. The Sun in Libra in the 8th House denotes the death of the previous government and the country’s metamorphosis (Sun in 8th House). Many changes have occurred since then, especially with regard to the common people.
Land Reform in more Detail
The event chart angle highlights the land reform policy through Venus’s rulership of the 4th House of land, in Scorpio (renewal, regeneration). The 19th degree of Scorpio, where Venus is placed, is known as the “accursed degree” and is considered a malefic place, especially in horary astrology. Venus represents the cultural mindset/heartset of the people and is weak in Scorpio, the sign of its detriment. The speech of Mao was emotionally received by the people (Venus in Scorpio). The Moon’s trine to the Sun points to the public’s (Moon) acceptance of their leader (Sun). Venus in Scorpio is like Venus conjunct Pluto. Venus squares Pluto unites the 4th and 10th House of the people and their land, with government control. This is a tense repressive connection. But at the time of the speech would have been seen as a necessary move improve the country. (Venus rules the 4th and Pluto rules the 10th.)
Not all Chinese people are Communists but they are part of the Aquarian Moon symbology. Cancer and Aquarius both point to groups of people yet in different ways:
Cancer refers to masses of people who unite together out of a basic instinct for preservation.
Aquarius indicates a conscious unity of a mass of people focused on a purpose.
In the natal chart the two references are interbound.
On Saturday, 1 February 2025 Pluto transits to within 1 degree of the PRC’s natal Moon in the 1st House. Even before this happens we will see some interesting developments that will have huge effects. Pluto will conjoin the natal Moon, the 6th House ruler, on Friday, 25 March 2025.
In astrology the military is ruled by the 6th House
Uranus transits the PRC’s 4th House starting Monday 20 May 2024. Uranus will oppose the 10th House cusp then. The world may witness some sudden moves on the world chessboard.
Transiting Pluto already conjoined the PRC Ascendant, on Wednesday, 6 March of 2024. It will retrograde over this point on Wednesday, 3 July, then make its last pass, in direct motion, on Friday, 10 January 2025.
Transiting Jupiter in the 4th trines natal Jupiter in the 12th House. International (Jupiter) land (4th House Jupiter) purchases for the government (11th House is 2nd House of the 10th of government).
